Kriss Norde

Kriss Norde is a video editor and YouTuber. He is a Blackmagic Design certified trainer, Blackmagic being the company behind DaVinci Resolve, and he founded Creator Academy, where he runs professional video training for creators, editors and colourists.

His courses cover DaVinci Resolve end to end: the edit page, Fusion, the Color page and audio in Fairlight. He also teaches editing, visual effects, colour grading, 3D and storytelling. It is that daily work across both applications, Premiere Pro on one side and DaVinci Resolve on the other, that produced PR2XML.

PR2XML started from a problem encountered while teaching rather than from a product idea. A Premiere Pro project opens nowhere else, and interchange formats drop a large part of the edit on the way. Every format the converter handles was decoded from real files produced by the applications themselves, then verified by importing the result back into the destination application.

He publishes on two YouTube channels, @krissnorde for long-form and @kriss_norde for tutorials, and works from Belgium through Norde SRL.
