PR2XML converts editorial project files between editing systems. Here is everything it reads and everything it writes - and exactly which conversions are live.

What we read (inputs)

DaVinci Resolve project archive - native import, keeps every sequence, named tracks, bins, markers, fades and titles.

Adobe Premiere Pro project - native import (beta from a .drp or .aaf).

Final Cut Pro / DaVinci Resolve and other apps that read Apple's XML.

Final Cut 7 / legacy XMEML - Avid, Vegas and older NLEs.

.otio

OpenTimelineIO - Nuke Studio, RV, Flame and pipeline tools.

When the source is a DaVinci .drp with a subtitle track, its captions are also extracted as a .srt sidecar. Captions in a Premiere project are not carried yet.

OpenTimelineIO (.otio) works in both directions. Every input converts to it, so one conversion reaches Nuke Studio, RV, Flame and any pipeline tool that reads OTIO - and we read .otio back in, so a timeline from those tools becomes a real DaVinci, Premiere or Final Cut project.
