Yes. When one wav carries several mics (Mix, boom, lavaliers...), Premiere stacks one clip per mic - and the .drp keeps that routing: each clip is assigned its exact source channel, so every track plays the right mic in DaVinci (tested up to 12 channels per file). One honest limit: mic names like "Boom 1" live in the wav's iXML metadata, which the .prproj does not contain, so no converter can recover them without the media. To keep the mics tellable apart, every clip is suffixed with the channel it plays (" - Ch 3"), and the exact selection shows in DaVinci's Audio Channel menu.

You do not need Premiere Pro® installed, and there is no need to re-save the project first. Only .ppj files from Adobe Premiere 6.5 and earlier are out of scope, as that is a different format predating .prproj.

Some Premiere Pro-specific effects (third-party plugins, certain complex native effects) don't have a direct equivalent in DaVinci Resolve. In that case, the timeline structure is preserved and unsupported effects are skipped, allowing you to recreate them manually in Resolve.
